Mourning a Huge Loss

Yesterday, Los Angeles was hit with a bombshell: Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter had died in a terrible accident. Now, to put things into perspective, I am not a fan of basketball. Like at all. However, being based in Los Angeles County, the impact Kobe has had on Southern California is undeniable.

There is little that can be done to ease the heartache and emptiness left behind by this unbelievable tragedy, however, Swingin’ Dolly would like to try anyway.

Starting today, we are donating 10% of every booking to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, through February 20, 2020.

The Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of youth and families in need, both domestically and globally, and encouraging young people to stay active through sports. The Foundation provides financial resources, develops unique programs and raises awareness for relevant issues in order to strengthen communities through educational and cultural enrichment opportunities.

Kobe and his daughter … Found this on the internet – I’m still looking for the photographer credits. If you know them, please let me know so I can give credit. Thanks

It’s a great organization that helps our kids and families to become leaders and positive contributors in their communities. I strongly urge everyone to donate to this brilliant cause to honor Kobe and his family, especially at this most difficult time. If you want to donate directly to the foundation, you can do so here.
